Asimodt's (alias Leonardo Pecchioli) works were born out of photography and digital images: the artist selects a subject according to peculiar characteristics (colour, shape, light), uploads them on a smartphone or pc and starts to develop it using particular apps to create abstract compositions..
Asimodt (alias Leonardo Pecchioli. Fiesole, 1990) lives and works in Florence; he studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence where he graduated with a degree on Thechnical experiences in electronic art. He works with video art and photography and has elaborated a method of digital images development by using electronic and informatic devices.
Asimodt has been involved in several group exhibitions in recent years, among which Statements curated by Ivan Quaroni at the Gallery Circoloquadro in 2016, in Milan; Start Point 2015, Effimero Picnic curated by the Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence and curated by Enegan and Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence in 2015; Mondi Paralleli curated by California State University in 2013 and Souk curated by Ex3 and Accademia di Belle Arti of Florence in 2011.
