I realised that it is this deformity of forgetting which is infectious to the memory, the deceitful thoughts dictated by the heart to the mind, and the representation of a reality that is slowly and blurredly becoming partially phantasmatic. This gradually becomes the prime representative of ‘hollow’ absence, a form of sentimentality, a form of temporary resurrection, that eventually becomes a form of healing - all experienced in time through studying the work, and within ‘healing time’ in reality, perhaps conjured up by the seeming ‘leftovers’ or relics of the body.
