The project of which “Broken geometry, chaos” is part, is about the study of cymatic
phenomenon, which demonstrates that sound frequencies modify the matter through
geometrical and almost perfect patterns. By exposing small amount of water to sounds and
frequencies it is possible to observe how the movement generated by the sound ripples the
liquid in accordance to specific patterns. “Broken geometry, chaos” wants to represent the
disruption of such equilibrium. In fact, if the volume of the sound that ripples the water is too
high, vibrations are too intense and the liquid can not keep the geometry. The idea wants to
demonstrate how changes in specific factors can determine the disruption of an equilibrium,
and consequently make the order chaos.
