Inspired by a view of the Jumbles reservoir in Bolton UK, the picture is made up of hand-dyed sycamore veneer squares bordered by deep brown fumed burr oak veneer. The image is made by softening and moulding the veneer and then allowing it to slowly dry. During the drying process the veneers crack, twist and split creating new shapes and textures within the composition.
